A hard reset can correct a wide range of hand-set issues, and is recommended by most manufacturers to be done on a monthly basis as a routine maintenance activity. This will NOT cause you to lose your personal information held on the phone.

STEP 1: Turn off your phone

Turn off your phone according to the process specified in your owner's manual.

STEP 2: Remove battery

Remove the battery from your phone. Be sure to remember how it is inserted so you can replace it later.

STEP 3: Hold down power button

With the battery removed, press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.

NOTE: This process discharges all electrical components in your phone and allows the entire phone to restart.

STEP 4: Replace your battery and turn your phone on

Reinstall your battery and turn on your phone. Once your phone is on, determine if the issue is resolved.
